Honorary Membership
Membership by Invitation
Honorary Membership is reserved for distinguished individuals whose professional, academic, legal, sporting, judicial or managerial contribution reflects FISLA’s mission and values.
It is complimentary and non-commercial and cannot be purchased or requested through the standard membership application process.

Honorary Membership does not automatically confer voting rights, management rights or commercial rights to use the FISLA name or brand.
Professional Services
What Membership Includes, and What Requires a Separate Engagement
Membership provides access to the benefits and services assigned to the selected membership level.
Membership does not automatically include unlimited legal representation, bespoke legal advice, comprehensive case review, full organisational document review or unrestricted professional services.
Where such services are available, they are subject to FISLA’s professional capacity, the defined scope of service, applicable requirements and, where necessary, a separate professional engagement.
Institutional services such as Legal Health Checks, Governance Reviews and Federation Legal Readiness assessments are likewise delivered within an agreed scope.
Membership Questions
Before You Apply
Is Student and Young Membership a separate FISLA membership tier?
No. The regular Individual Membership structure consists of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Students and eligible early-career applicants may be covered by preferential arrangements where approved.
Can organisations become FISLA members?
Yes. Institutional Membership is available at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
How many accounts can an Institutional Membership include?
Bronze supports up to 20 linked accounts, Silver up to 40, and Gold up to 70.
What institutional discounts apply?
The approved structure provides applicable member discounts of 15% for Bronze, 25% for Silver and 40% for Gold.
Is there an Institutional Platinum plan?
No. Gold is the highest regular Institutional Membership level.
Is Strategic Institutional Partner a membership tier?
No. Strategic or project-based collaboration may be arranged separately but is not a regular FISLA membership tier.
Can I apply for Honorary Membership?
No. Honorary Membership is granted exclusively by invitation.
Does Diamond Membership renew annually?
No. Diamond Membership requires a one-time payment of USD 3,000 and does not require annual membership renewal.
Are professional legal services unlimited under membership?
No. Membership provides only the benefits assigned to the relevant level. Bespoke legal representation and separately scoped professional services are handled independently where available.
Are applications automatically approved?
No. Applications are subject to FISLA’s applicable membership review process. FISLA’s Membership Committee reviews individual and institutional applications and oversees alignment between tiers, fees and benefits.
