Committee Overview
Technology, AI & Digital Transformation
Technology is changing sport quickly, and this Committee exists so that sports law keeps pace. It examines what artificial intelligence, blockchain and other emerging technologies mean for the industry, including the legal and ethical questions raised by automated officiating, performance data and algorithmic decision-making in governance.
Working with the Federation’s AI & Innovation Centre, the Committee turns that analysis into usable output: policy positions, practitioner training, and joint projects with technology partners. Its concern is that new technology in sport is matched by legal frameworks capable of keeping it fair, transparent and accountable.
